The Collection of Croatian Women Painters Born in the 19th Century is a thematically conceived and conceptually unique whole comprising 1,077 works by 33 women painters, including: Vjera Bojničić, Dora Car, Lina Crnčić-Virant, Fanny Daubachy, Cata Dujšin Ribar, Nevenka Đorđević - Tomašević, Anka Krizmanić, Zdenka Ostović Pexidr-Srića, Vera Nikolić - Podrinska, Jelka Struppi Wolkensperg, Slava Raškaj, Nasta Rojc.

The Collection was donated to the City of Zagreb by Dr. Josip Kovačić in 1988, and since 2022, it has been managed by the Zagreb City Museum.

The collection holds exceptional importance for understanding women's artistic production in the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century, while also serving as a valuable resource for exploring the position of women in art and society.
